so, i'm starting a rant blog for the fun of it.
the first thing i'll be ranting about is the thing i'm most passionate about - Music.
what pisses me off about music these days is the lack of originality. i take originality really seriously and apparently the music industry doesn't. i'm referring to pop music most, because apparently everyone just copies each other and EVERY SONG SOUNDS THE SAME.
the reason why i choose rock music over pop and whatever garbage music is because in rock music they actually use instruments. if you look at today's music, LMFAO, Rihanna, T-Pain, Jason Derulo, Taio Cruz, Skrillex, or Tiesto etc., i know they use instruments like the drums, or the keyboard perhaps but the most important part for them is the computer. i mean, when you listen to skrillex, you'd still probably hear a little drums in the background but other than that it's complete computer. T-Pain as another good bad example. have you ever heard T-Pain sing without auto tune? that's cheating, basically. you actually can't sing but you have the help of a computer to make your voice sound better. it's not better actually, you sound like a fricking R2-D2 (if you don't know what R2-D2 is, it's a droid/robot from the movie Star Wars) or you sound like Bumblebee from the movie transformers. if you compare that to Black Sabbath, Queen, The Ramones, Oasis, Slipknot, The Acacia Strain, Avenged Sevenfold, or Killswitch Engage, it's completely different. maybe rock music these days, you'd be able to find some techno or electronica in it such as Asking Alexandria, Enter Shikari, or Attack Attack! but the guitar and drums are more dominant than the computer music.
second, pop music is very vile because of the themes. now days music is more about sex, girls' genitals, or alcohol. Akon is the best worst example. his song is titled "Sexy Bitch", while long time ago songs were titled Pretty Woman. The Beatles wrote a song about how they wanted to hold a person's hand, while Akon's song is titled "I Wanna F*** You". Where's the respect? and then there is Nicki Minaj. Hey Nicki, would you like some face with that makeup? would you like a body with that plastic butt, face and boobs? Hey Nicki, was your song Stupid Hoe written for yourself? then Lady Gaga. i used to like her music a few years ago, but then ever since the fame monster i hated her. and the fact that every song sounds the same now?
third, fan bases. like Justin Bieber. i hate his music but him as a person is okay but what he's known for is his dominating beliebers. they're probably the most annoying girls ever. really though, you cannot say justin bieber on twitter without getting at least a spam about him. One Direction also has annoying fan bases. but i don't want to make it look like i'm only offending the pop artists. Black Veil Brides' frontman Andy Biersack is actually really attractive = fan girls. fan girls are girls who usually is the biggest fan of the frontman. some fan girls are girls who discovered a band just yesterday and they act like they're the biggest fan of that band the next day. fan girls are girls who claim to love one band so so so much and they buy the band's merch and they wear them with pride when they only know like two songs and the frontman's name. those girls are the most annoying. and not to mention disturbing. there's a blog called dirty bieber secrets or whatever and it's filled with girls fantasizing about sex with justin bieber. really? wow imagine if justin knew about that. oh, another thing about fan girls is they won't like that band if the members don't look as good. imagine if justin bieber looked like richard simmons or if one direction looked like osama bin laden's team. girls won't adore them as much as they would now.
fourth, KPOP. kpop is my least favorite thing on earth apart from mcdonalds. you know you're listening to a kpop girlband when the girls sound like rats who are actually trained to sing, and they're skinnier than kate moss and they make weird faces to be cute in videos. you know you're listening to a kpop boyband when the boys are literally prettier than you, they have skin more flawless and hair more treated than yours. and the thing about kpop is they're addicted to plastic surgery. they are literally. i don't specifically know why but that's true. most of the singers are fake. and how they copy each other so much. so many kpop songs sound the same, and sometimes a member from a girlband can look exactly like another girl form another different group. it's creepy. and i live in indonesia. kpop takes over the majority of girls' minds here. it's annoying. there's this singer named Ayu Ting Ting, she's a dangdut singer (a traditional indonesian music genre, influenced by indian music) and one of her music videos is exactly the same as a 2ne1 video. it's disgusting and vile. indonesian music is one of the many reasons why i am ashamed of being indonesian.
so this is the end of rant number 1. in conclusion, i hate pop music. that's all really. so, yeah hopefully every thursday/friday i'll be able to write down a rant. thanks for keeping up with my rants and help me clean up the world. love kay x
